Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Manager of Nursing to provide 24-hour operational leadership for patient care in designated units. You will oversee staffing, safety, service quality, and collaboration across disciplines and committees.

The role requires a BSN or higher, Texas RN license, BLS certification, and leadership experience. You will coach staff, drive performance initiatives, and ensure clinical excellence and patient satisfaction across shifts.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas required.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience; 1 year in progressive leadership; HM internal requires 2 years leadership including charge nurse responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Plans day-to-day department operations and staffing; sets priorities and standards.
• Leads department process improvements and ensures accountability across teams.
• Ensures patient safety, quality outcomes, and high service levels; engages in performance initiatives.
• Represents unit on committees and fosters interdepartmental collaboration.
