Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals seeks a Nursing Manager to lead and coordinate nursing care for assigned patient groups, ensuring alignment with hospital standards and mission.

The role requires a BSN, current RN licensure (or eNLC), and BLS within 30 days of hire, with at least four years of nursing experience and two years in management. Responsible for staff development, budget monitoring, and maintaining high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Current unencumbered RN license with WV Board or state board where services will be provided, or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Advises the Director on hiring, retention, interviewing and recruitment of staff.
• Maintains personnel records.
• Assists in development and delivery of ongoing educational programs for staff and onboarding.
• Provides ongoing performance feedback and coaching; supports disciplinary actions as directed.
• Monitors personnel budgets and justifies variances to the Director.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing

RN licensure (WV Board) or eNLC

Basic Life Support certification
