Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to collaborate with leadership and guide staffing, education, and performance evaluation across patient care areas. You will practice clinical leadership with a focus on patient safety, customer service, and adherence to hospital policies.

The role requires a BSN within two years, an unencumbered RN license (WV or eNLC) and BLS training within 30 days.

Qualifications

• BSN within two years of hire.
• Current unencumbered RN license in WV or appropriate state board, or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• State and federal background checks as required by regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Manages personnel to ensure credentialed, clinically competent, cohesive workforce to meet patient care needs.
• Advises Director/Manager on hiring, retention, interviewing and staff recruitment.
• Coaches and counsels staff; participates in annual performance appraisals and staff meetings.
• Performs goal setting, peer reviews, and performance evaluations; provides feedback on job performance.
