Job summary

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL is seeking a Nursing Operations Manager (NOM) for Med Surg A2. This full-time, exempt role leads the nursing unit, ensuring quality patient care, safety, and efficient operations.

The NOM will oversee staffing, budget, and clinical nursing practice, while driving evidence-based care and cross-functional collaboration. A BSN is required; MSN/DNP or business-related graduate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• MSN, DNP, or BSN with graduate degree in business or health-related field preferred.
• 2 years as a registered nurse in an acute care setting required.
• 1 year of leadership experience required.
• Current Florida RN license or NLC and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and operational oversight for an inpatient direct care unit.
• Plans and evaluates delivery of patient care to achieve outcomes.
• Manages budgeting and cost control for the unit/department.
• Recruitment, development, mentorship, retention, and performance management.
• Leads process improvements and engages in policy formulation.
