Job summary

Bayfrontstpete is seeking an Assistant Nurse Operations Manager to lead a designated unit with clinical and administrative oversight. The ANOM collaborates with the Nursing Operations Manager to ensure high-quality patient care, budget adherence, and staff performance across shifts.

The role requires a BSN (or higher), RN licensure in the US, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications; experience in acute care is essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BSN required if no MSN.
• MSN/DNP or BSN with graduate degree preferred.
• Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute setting.
• Current RN licensure in Alabama or NLC.
• Maintain BLS certification.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Shared 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
• Participates in recruitment and selection of new unit members.
• Coordinates with Nursing Operations Manager and HR on corrective action and career advancement.
• Investigates event reports and provides feedback to leadership and staff.
• Oversees unit schedules to ensure proper staff mix for patient care.
• Maintains oversight of patient flow and coordinates nursing activities to achieve outcomes.
• Participates in process/quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes.
• Ensures customer experience is upheld and manages service recovery as needed.
• Interfaces with patients and families to coordinate nursing activities and provide instruction.
• Leads staff meetings and huddles, demonstrates ownership of unit outcomes.
• Performs direct patient care as required to meet operational needs.
• Promotes a safe working environment and upholds professional standards.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures.

Education

BSN

MSN/ DNP/ BSN with grad in business or health-related field

2 years RN experience

RN licensure (AL or NLC)
