Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a nurse leader to provide leadership and operational oversight for an inpatient direct care unit or units. You will drive quality, safety, and efficiency, manage staffing and budgets, and lead change across the nursing team.

The role emphasizes population-specific care, value-driven care delivery, and integration of Hospital Care at Home programs via TeleHealth. Florida RN licensure and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• MSN, DNP, or BSN with Graduate degree in Business or health-related field preferred.
• 2 Years as a registered nurse in an advanced care setting. Required
• 1 Year leadership experience. Required
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• May require ACLS, PALS, NALS, TNCC based on patient population.
• National leadership board certification through ANCC or AONL within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates environment and makes recommendations to ensure delivery of quality service, patient flow, safety, and compliance with standards.
• Plans, leads, organizes, directs, and evaluates the delivery of patient care to achieve outcomes.
• Promotes a healthy environment prioritizing patient and staff safety and high reliability of processes.
• Drives continuous improvement to measure performance against standards for nursing and patient care.
• Serves as a change agent to help leaders understand the impact and process of change.
• Develops and maintains an efficient nursing delivery model reflecting patient and family needs.
• Plans and implements new technologies, procedures, and services to support operations.
• Identifies, recruits, develops, and retains top talent; manages recruitment, development, mentorship, retention, and evaluation.
• Develops and manages unit budget, monitors expenses, and ensures cost-effectiveness.
• Ensures customer experience is exceptional and acts as liaison between staff and nursing administration.
• Supports professional involvement and aligns with Orlando Health’s mission and values.
• Leads Hospital Care at Home virtual nursing unit using TeleHealth to oversee visits and patient care remotely.
