Southheritage in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing, coordinating licensed and non-licensed staff in delivering 24/7 resident care. You will help plan, supervise, and improve nursing services, policies, and daily operations to ensure high-quality care and compliance.

The role involves staffing, training, performance appraisals, and acting as DON back-up, with possible direct patient care.

Formación

• BSN or higher required; must be in good standing with State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing.
• 3-5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a BSN preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assists DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff activities.
• Oversees clinical operations, including daily rounds and monitoring resident conditions.
• Liaises with residents, families, and physicians; attends staff meetings when DON unavailable.
• Recruits, hires, trains nursing staff and conducts performance appraisals.
• Ensures resident safety and maintains resident rights; may provide direct resident care as needed.
