Job summary

Journey is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to act as a clinical operational liaison between units and the Director of Nursing. The ADON will manage daily clinical operations, mentor staff, coordinate with other departments, and ensure patient and family satisfaction. In the DON's absence, the ADON assumes DON duties.

The role emphasizes leadership in nursing services, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with minimum 3 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and enforcing policies.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, participate in chart audits, and oversee infection control, care planning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Staff development and oversight: participate in hiring, training, and performance reviews while promoting professional growth and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
