Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a BSN preferred.
• Current licensure in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• 3–5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff activities.
• Oversee nursing services, policies, procedures, and resident safety.
• Recruit, hire and train staff; participate in appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Serve as back-up for DON/RN/LVN staff; conduct rounds and liaise with families and physicians.
• Attend staff meetings and provide reports to the DON.
