Job summary

Arbors of Ohio is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing and supervise nursing staff in a long-term care setting. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and a focus on resident-centered care.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license with a BSN preferred, CPR certification, and a minimum of seven years in nursing with two years in supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid RN license in the state employed preferred.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Seven years’ nursing experience, two years supervisory in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between nursing units, admissions, and the DON.
• Plans and facilitates meetings and committees to address resident care issues.
• Monitor weekly and monthly weights.
• Monitors and evaluates nursing staff and recommends training or work modification to the DON.
• Ensure annual competency evaluations and performance reviews are completed on schedule.
• Plans and guides the professional development of nursing staff.
