Job summary

Sunset Ridge Post Acute in Las Vegas, NV seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in leading licensed and non-licensed staff providing 24/7 care. You will help plan, develop and supervise nursing services, participate in staff development, and ensure resident safety and rights are upheld.

The role involves daily rounds, regulatory compliance, and acting as back-up for the DON, RN and LVN teams. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an Accredited School of Nursing with a BSN preferred.
• Must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing and maintain continuing education/licensing requirements.
• 3-5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing and supervising the activities of the nursing staff.
• Assist in development and implementation of nursing services, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; participate in appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Provide back-up for the DON, RN and LVN staff; oversee daily clinical operations and resident rounds.
• Liaise between residents, families and physicians; attend staff meetings and provide reports to the DON.
