Job summary

Lakeview Post Acute in Florissant is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in directing licensed and non-licensed staff providing 24/7 care. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually.

The ADON will help plan, develop and supervise nursing activities, recruit and train staff, and ensure resident safety. A BSN and an active State Board of Nursing license are required, with 3–5 years of nurse management in long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Must maintain RN license in good standing with State Board.
• 3–5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff activities.
• Develop and implement nursing services, objectives, policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; conduct appraisals and address issues.
• Provide back-up for DON, RN and LVN staff; may provide direct resident care.
• Oversee clinical operations, daily rounds and resident condition monitoring.
• Ensure resident safety and respectful treatment; liaise with families and physicians.
• Attend staff meetings; prepare reports and recommendations to the DON.
