Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute in Oregon seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing in guiding licensed and non-licensed staff delivering 24/7 care. This role assists planning, development and supervision of nursing activities and services.

It requires coordinating staff recruitment and training, conducting appraisals, and acting as a back-up for DON, RN and LVN staff while ensuring resident safety, rights and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Nursing preferred; RN licensure in good standing.
• 3-5 years of nurse management experience, preferably in long-term care.
• Must maintain continuing education/licensing and stay in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; PCC software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in planning, developing and supervising nursing staff.
• Assist in development and implementation of nursing services, policies and procedures.
• Recruit, hire and train nursing staff; assist with employee appraisals.
• Provide back-up for DON, RN and LVN staff; potentially provide direct resident care.
• Oversee clinical operations, daily rounds and monitor resident conditions.
• Ensure resident safety and respect; liaise with residents, families and physicians.
• Attend staff meetings and provide reports to the DON; support nursing systems.
• Maintain confidentiality and stay current with regulatory changes.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

RN license in good standing with State Board of Nursing
