Job summary

Jersey College in Tennessee seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction for LPN/PN and RN students. The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, an unrestricted RN license, and at least 3 years of RN experience with strong communication and collaboration skills to work with faculty,

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN clinical experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth.
• Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.
