Job summary

Athena Health Care Systems is seeking a Cook for the Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. The role involves preparing meals for residents, following therapeutic diets and recipes, and ensuring food safety and quality in a clinical dining setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or related medical facility preferred, but not necessary; we can train the right candidate!
• Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to make independent decisions, deal tactfully with personnel, residents, and visitors, and possess leadership ability
• Knowledge of dining service procedures, related laws, regulations, and guidelines
• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and work areas
• Patient, tactful, and enthusiastic with a cheerful disposition
