Job summary

Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Plymouth, MA is seeking a 40-hour Cook to join our culinary team. The role focuses on preparing high-quality meals for residents and delivering compassionate service in a caregiving environment.

The shift runs 12p-8p with every other weekend required. You will follow therapeutic diets, maintain kitchen sanitation, and work closely with dining services leadership to ensure safe, appealing meals.

Qualifications

• Prior culinary experience required.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Knowledge of dining service procedures and related laws, regulations, and guidelines.

• Prepare, cook, and plate resident meals in accordance with therapeutic diets ordered by physicians
• Ensure the proper serving temperature of food and maintain its visual appeal
• Monitor daily nourishments, follow standardized recipes, and adhere to sanitation and storage policies
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with residents, families, and colleagues
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services

As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals for our residents. Shift is 12p-8p with every other weekend required. Weekly pay ranges from $20 to $22 an hour.

Requirements:

• Prior culinary experience required

• Leadership ability, willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel

• Ability to maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, and the appearance of work areas
