Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Wilkesboro, NC is seeking a dependable Part-Time Cook to join our dietary team. The Cook will prepare nutritious meals while following dietary requirements and food safety standards, ensuring timely service for residents.

This role emphasizes teamwork in a resident-centered environment. Prior healthcare kitchen experience and ServSafe certification are a plus, with a focus on accuracy and sanitation in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• ServSafe or food safety certification preferred/required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary requirements.
• Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and special diet instructions accurately.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, preparation, and temperature-control procedures.

The Cook plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents by preparing nutritious, appealing meals while following dietary requirements, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines.
