Job summary
Bowie State University is seeking two tenure-track faculty to join the Department of Nursing, PM, teaching and advising in the Special Populations track (Maternity, Pediatrics, and/or Psychiatric Mental Health). The positions emphasize classroom and clinical teaching, with expectations for scholarship and service to the department and university.
Applicants should hold a Master’s in Nursing; a Doctorate in Nursing or related field is preferred.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Doctorate in Nursing or other related area is required.
- Expertise in Maternity, Pediatrics, and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
- Strong preference for didactic teaching experience at the college level.
- Active record of clinical expertise with assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Lifespan primary care expertise is required.
- Current or eligible unrestricted nursing license in MD, DC or compact state.
- Active scholarship and service at program/department/university is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach in classroom and conduct clinical teaching.
- Engage in research and publications for tenure and promotion.
- Contribute to curriculum development and participate in committees, grant writing and assessment.
