Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing required.

  • Experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes.
  • Active license to practice nursing in Maryland, DC, or a compact state.
  • Strong preference for didactic experience at the collegiate level.
  • Record of scholarship and service at program/department/university levels preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Nursing faculty teach in the classroom and conduct clinical teaching.
  • Research and publications are expected for tenure and promotion.
  • Other areas of responsibility include curriculum development;
  • participate in departmental and college-wide activities and committees, such as, grant writing, assessment, faculty development, mentoring student projects, and academic advisement.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Doctorate in Nursing or other related area.
  • Must have expertise in Maternity, Pediatrics, and/ or Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
  • Strong preference will be given to candidates with didactic experience in the main area of teaching at the collegiate level.
  • A strong, demonstrated record of clinical expertise, experience with assessment and evaluation of student learning outcomes is required.
  • Expertise in primary care throughout the lifespan is required.
  • Must hold a current or be eligible for an unencumbered license to practice nursing in Maryland, Washington, DC, or a compact state.
  • Evidence of an active record of scholarship and service at the program, department and university levels preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with total program evaluation and accreditation preferred.
