Job summary
Bowie State University invites applications for two Assistant/Associate Professor positions in Special Populations Nursing faculty, with teaching, clinical supervision, and research duties. Appointees will contribute to maternity, pediatrics, and/or psychiatric mental health nursing education, scholarship, and service within a diverse campus community.

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Nursing required; Doctorate in Nursing or related area preferred.
- Expertise in Maternity, Pediatrics, and/or Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.
- Experience teaching at collegiate level preferred.
- Current or eligible for an unencumbered license to practice nursing in Maryland, Washington, DC, or a compact state.
- Evidence of active scholarship and service at the program, department and university levels preferred.
Responsibilities
- Nursing faculty teach in the classroom and conduct clinical teaching.
- Research and publications are expected for tenure and promotion.
- Curriculum development; participate in departmental and college-wide activities and committees, such as grant writing, assessment, faculty development, mentoring student projects, and academic advisement.
