Job summary

Reedwood in Portland, OR seeks an experienced Business Office Supervisor to support facility operations and manage billing processes. You will obtain managed care and Medicaid authorizations, oversee resident trust funds, and supervise the business office team.

The role requires a high school diploma and knowledge of skilled nursing billing; prior long-term care experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PCC software is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment.
• Experience in long term care facility preferred (1 year).
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Obtain managed care and Medicaid authorizations including bedholds.
• Manage resident trust funds; print and distribute monthly statements.
• Supervise business office staff; take disciplinary actions as needed.
• Maintain census and report status changes.
• Attend stand-up meetings as requested by Administrator.
• Assist with Medicaid applications.
• Prepare TARS as needed.
• Track Medicaid redeterminations.
• Participate in billing and payments, including preparing bank deposits.
• Undertake collection activity for bad debts.
• Schedule and assign staff to complete operational requirements; follow up on work results.
