Job summary

The Associate Director of Nursing at Touro University is a faculty member ensuring the highest quality education across the nursing programs. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, this role participates in the Nursing Leadership Committee and shapes program design, development, and delivery to achieve optimal student outcomes.

Responsibilities include overseeing curricula, coordinating faculty workload, maintaining policies, and ensuring alignment with NYSED and CCNE standards.

Qualifications

• PhD, DNP, or EdD in Nursing is required.
• At least 5 years as nursing faculty preferred.
• 2 years leading and coordinating faculty work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee academic program curricula.
• Serve as primary point person for a Department of Nursing program as directed.
• Chairs faculty committee meetings in the absence of the Director or as otherwise designated.
• Monitor and maintain academic and faculty policies.
• Ensure curriculum alignment with NYSED/CCNE standards.
• Review, evaluate, and recommend course offerings and course size.
