Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Nursing Educator to lead education programs for nursing and non-nursing staff across units under the Market Education Director. The educator will coordinate orientation, continuing education, in-services and educational initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

The role requires a Master’s in Nursing or Nursing Education, CA RN license, ACLS/BLS, and 5 years of acute care nursing with 3-5 years CCU experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education or related specialty
• 5 years nursing experience in an acute care setting
• 3-5 years critical care experience
• Current and Active California Board of Registered Nurse License (RN)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with facility/market nursing leadership to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing and non-nursing personnel.
• Serve as a key resource in orientation and continuing education of nursing staff.
• Implement a comprehensive education program for assigned units, including orientation and in-services.
• Contribute to organizational goals through councils, committees and workgroups.
