Job summary
UCI Health in California seeks a Nursing Educator to collaborate with facility leadership, assess educational needs, and develop programs for nursing staff across units. You will facilitate orientation and continuing education, coordinate with clinical leaders, and contribute to patient care quality through education and performance improvement.
Required: Master's in Nursing or Nursing Education, CA RN license, 5 years acute care nursing, 3-5 years CCU or critical care, ACLS and BLS.
Qualifications
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with facility/market nursing leadership to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate and revise educational programming for all levels of nursing personnel and non-nursing personnel.
- Act as a key resource in orientation and continuing education of nursing staff.
- Implement a comprehensive education program for assigned units and contribute to organizational goals.
- Participate in councils, committees and workgroups and provide educational consultation as needed.
