Job summary

Advocate Health’s Nursing Education department seeks a Clinical Educator to coordinate and conduct education for nursing staff across Medical ICU, Cardiac Care, Cardiac Telemetry, and SICU. The role focuses on unit-specific education, competency development, and collaboration with nursing leadership to ensure high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a BSN, NC RN licensure, and 3 years of critical care experience, with BLS; CCRN is preferred and should be pursued within a year of

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN required.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification by the American Heart Association.
• 3 years’ clinical experience in critical care environment.
• CCRN certification preferred, encouraged to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Teaches and demonstrates proficiency in patient assessment and nursing skills.
• Reinforces policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines with nursing staff.
• Coordinates nursing-centered rounds and bedside reporting with the Nurse Manager/Case Manager.
