Job summary

Jersey College seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. The role may involve classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical teaching across sites, with focus on student success and professional development.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with MSN (or higher) who can guide students, evaluate performance, and collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to maintain standards of nursing

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Provide students with guidance, feedback, and support to promote successful learning outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge and expertise in nursing specialty and clinical practice.
