Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. The role may include classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction depending on campus needs.

The instructor will create a supportive learning environment, evaluate student performance, and guide students in developing the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors essential for nursing success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses being taught.
• Experience with nursing education or teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' growth.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program standards.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.
