Jersey College in New Jersey seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. Instructors may teach in classroom, lab, simulation, or clinical settings depending on campus needs.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of nursing experience. You will foster a positive learning environment and evaluate student performance to support success.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree is required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to taught courses and clinical experiences.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth and professional development.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program standards.
• Maintain accurate attendance and progress records.
