Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana, seeks an experienced Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to lead caregiver education, orientation, and ongoing learning. This onsite role requires strong clinical education standards and collaboration across the care team.

The NPD Practitioner will assess learning needs, guide preceptors and coaches, promote evidence-based nursing practice, and support transitions for new staff within the PDPE service line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors.
• Promote self-reliance and teamwork through orientation and ongoing learning.
• Collaborate to identify goals and learning needs and apply evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancements in nursing practice.
• Foster creation and sharing of new knowledge to advance NPD.
• Advocate for the NPD specialty within the organization.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions for new and existing caregivers.
