Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St Vincent Regional Hospital in Montana is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to lead caregiver education on-site, assess learning needs, and guide ongoing development. The role travels to multiple locations as needed to fulfill responsibilities.

The NPD Practitioner will act as mentor, change agent, and leader, fostering evidence-based practice and interprofessional learning to enhance patient care and nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: serves as resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, promoting self-reliance and teamwork.
• Change Agent: collaborates to understand goals, learning needs, and ensure adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Mentor: provides coaching to preceptors and caregivers for personal learning and growth.
• Leader: facilitates interprofessional learning and advancements in nursing and healthcare.
• Advocate for NPD Specialty: promotes NPD value and integration for better patient outcomes.
• Partner for Practice Transition: collaborates for smooth transitions and ongoing education.
