Job summary

Intermountain Health's St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner who guides caregivers in self-reliance and ongoing learning. The role assesses and coordinates orientation and education across care teams, with travel to different locations as needed.

You will serve as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, and leader, promoting evidence-based nursing practice and professional development, while aligning with PDPE

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited institution with licensure as RN.
• BLS certification and demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Experience in nursing education, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.
• Master’s degree and NPD-BC certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learning facilitator: guide caregiver orientation and ongoing education using standardized tools.
• Change agent: align learning needs with evidence-based practices across care areas.
• Mentor: coach preceptors and caregivers for professional growth and job enrichment.
• Leader: promote interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
• Champion for inquiry: foster knowledge sharing and evidence-driven practice.
• Advocate for NPD: promote NPD value and integration into patient outcomes.
• Partner for practice transition: support adoption of new practices and smooth transitions.
