Job summary

Willowbrook is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department, ensuring high-quality resident care. The DON will supervise staff, develop policies, and maintain compliance with state regulations while providing direct patient care as needed.

The role requires BSN, active licensure, and extensive nurse management experience; PCC proficiency is essential. Collaboration with physicians, families, and other departments is expected to support excellent resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred and active (or eligible) state licensure.
• Minimum of 7 years of nurse management experience.
• Proficiency with PCC and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations and communicate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures; ensure compliance.
• Ensure resident safety and respect for all residents.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning; participate in QA and surveys.
• Lead staff training, appraisals, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Budget and report department performance; liaise with physicians and families.
