Job summary

Adept Nursing and Rehab seeks a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing department and ensure high-quality resident care. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to a collaborative, supportive work environment.

Responsibilities include directing operations, supervising nursing staff, liaising with residents and families, and ensuring compliance with long-term care regulations. Nebraska RN license and prior DON experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Nebraska RN license required.
• At least 2 years as DON in a long-term care setting.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience in nursing management.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct overall nursing department operations.
• Provide administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Liaise with residents, families, and support departments to plan for resident needs.
• Ensure compliance with state laws, regulations, and long-term care guidelines.
• Oversee state reporting and implement plans of correction.
• Uphold company policies including compliance and harassment procedures.
