Kalkaska Memorial Health Center (KMHC) is seeking a dedicated Director of Nursing to guide our nursing staff and elevate resident care. This leadership role emphasizes clinical excellence, integrity, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

In this role, you will oversee all nursing services, ensure regulatory compliance, lead recruitment and performance management, develop individualized care plans, and maintain accurate resident records to support quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing in Michigan.
• Leadership experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Restorative care approach.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Compliance: Oversee all nursing services in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines.
• Lead the Team: Manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance of nursing staff.
• Coach and Mentor: Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to improve performance and outcomes.
• Support Direct Care: Collaborate with floor staff to maintain consistent, high-quality care.
• Maintain Records: Monitor resident records for accuracy and appropriate documentation.
• Develop Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
• Provide Resources: Ensure nursing staff have timely access to equipment and necessary supplies.
• Review Payroll: Approve payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
