Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Michigan.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong knowledge of skilled nursing operations and regulatory requirements.
• Proven leadership, organizational, and staff management abilities.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems.
• Able to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, direction, and supervision of nursing services to ensure quality resident care and operational efficiency.
• Oversee nursing department staffing, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
• Establish and maintain appropriate staffing levels based on resident acuity and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to support admissions, care planning, and discharge processes.
• Manage nursing department budgets, staffing resources, and operational expenditures.
• Ensure nursing operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct routine facility rounds to monitor clinical practices and compliance.
• Oversee clinical documentation, resident assessments, and care plans.
• Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives focused on resident safety and outcomes.
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for timely interventions.
