Job summary

Heritage Community of Kalamazoo is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead all nursing services in our long-term care community. This role establishes high standards of resident care and provides clinical leadership to the nursing team.

You will oversee daily operations, mentor licensed staff, coordinate individualized care plans, drive quality improvement, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Michigan RN license and strong leadership are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in Michigan is required.
• Experience in long-term care settings is essential.
• Strong clinical, organizational, and leadership abilities are expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations and supervise licensed staff.
• Mentor and develop the nursing team to deliver resident-centered care.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and quality standards.
• Participate in staffing oversight, scheduling, budgeting, and regulatory readiness.
