Job summary

Tampa Bay Joint & Spine Surgery Center in Florida is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead Pre-Op, PACU and GI nursing teams in our ambulatory surgery setting. The Director will provide clinical management, ensure staffing coverage, uphold patient safety, and collaborate with administration, physicians and vendors to deliver high-quality, efficient care.

Required: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, active FL RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS; CNOR preferred; minimum 3 years in surgery with strong leadership

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with active Florida license and BSN.
• Minimum 3 years of surgical experience.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS and PALS required; CNOR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all surgical care areas (Pre-Op, PACU, GI).
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with Administrator.
• Ensure operations follow clinical standards and center policies.
• Maintain adequate staffing with timely scheduling changes.
• Monitor nursing care and participate in quality evaluations.
• Provide coverage for breaks, meals, late cases and shortages.
• Prepare materials for each case in advance.
• Facilitate efficient transitions between procedures.
• Delegate, coach, mentor and resolve conflicts within the team.
• Lead with trust and strong communication in a dynamic OR environment.
