Job summary

Tampa Bay Joint and Spine Surgery Center is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations across Pre-Op, PACU, and GI areas, supervising nurses, technicians and sterile processing to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

The role offers growth within the organization and requires a Bachelor’s degree, Florida RN license, and at least three years in surgery, with BLS/ACLS/PALS; CNOR preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Bachelor's degree required; Florida RN license.
• Minimum of three years in surgery.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all surgical care areas (Pre-Op, PACU, GI).
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with Administrator.
• Ensure day-to-day operations align with clinical standards and center policies.
• Ensure adequate staffing and timely scheduling changes.
• Monitor nursing care quality and patient outcomes.
• Provide breaks and coverage during shifts; manage staffing shortages.
