Job Overview

The Resident Care Director (RCD) serves as the nursing clinical leader for the community and is responsible for leading and managing the health and wellness, along with the coordination of care and services to residents within the community. Responsibilities include oversight and implementation of all care programs, regulatory compliance, recruiting, and performance management.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
  • Support our Mission, Principles of Service, and Core Values, emphasizing the sacred value of human life.
  • Manage health and wellness by leading the nursing team in compliance with state/provincial laws, promoting resident health.
  • Provide clinical care, including assessments, care planning, and evaluation of resident outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate resident care.
  • Serve as CLIA Director as applicable.
  • Partner with Neighborhood Coordinators and Sales to ensure integrated wellness operations and appropriate resident assessments.
  • Manage medication care programs, oversee staff training, and ensure safety and compliance.
  • Participate in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and clinical performance improvement initiatives.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management of clinical staff.
  • Manage departmental budget and participate in training and leadership development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state/provincial, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Attend meetings and stay updated on professional developments.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current RN license.
  • Minimum two years RN experience, with at least one year in a long-term care or similar environment.
  • One year of nursing management experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
