Job summary

UMass Boston seeks a Clinical Placement Specialist to coordinate student placements for the Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences, focusing on ABSN and RN-BS tracks. • Ability to verify nursing licenses for clinical placement.
• Knowledge of licensure requirements for online nursing programs.
• Capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to supervise work-study students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining external agency working agreements/MOU for clinical placements.
• Generate placement locations for student clinical sites with professional communication to healthcare partners.
• Collect, record, and update student information and clinical clearances in MCNHS databases.
• Collect evaluation data from agencies, faculty, and students for quality improvement.
• Maintain relationships with Centralized Clinical Placements for MA to aid undergraduate placements.
• Update the CIPO Practice Manual and liaise with webmaster for website content.
• Guide ABSN and RN-BS students through Q&A related to clinical placement processes.
• Support programmatic reporting and the college's strategic planning needs.
• Participate in meetings with leadership, faculty, staff, and external agencies.
• Collaborate with staff on events like Open House and Commencement.
