The George Washington University School of Nursing in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Program Associate for Clinical Placement to support the clinical placement team and manage student health records and compliance for undergraduate and graduate nursing students.

The role involves partnerships with clinical sites, oversight of immunization portals, and coordinating placement schedules in collaboration with faculty liaisons, ensuring accurate documentation and onboarding for all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; degree conferred by start date. Degree requirements may be substituted with equivalent education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with Clinical Course Coordinators to identify and facilitate new clinical sites.
• Initiate and maintain partnerships with hospitals, clinical sites, and community health agencies used by students for clinical rotations/preceptorships.
• Provide oversight of clinical portals for student immunizations and other mandatory documentation.
• Update student compliance tracking spreadsheets.
• Update compliance information and communicate to Admissions.
• Communicate with students about missing requirements.
• Request clinical slots for ABSN and DE MSN students, including group rotations and individual preceptorships.
• Assist with graduate program clinical placement as needed.
• Complete all required compliance documentation for sites before each clinical rotation.
• Work with faculty liaisons regarding placement requirements.
• Place pre-licensure students in clinical rotations each semester in collaboration with clinical coordinators.
• Maintain clear records of placement and instructor information.
• Communicate placement information to students, including onboarding and compliance requirements, badging, parking, and instructor information.
• All additional questions pertaining to clinical education/units are directed to BSN clinical faculty.
• Maintain clinical calendar and student dashboard, including surveys and guides.
• Incorporate all relevant information into the Core system.
• Assist with management of School of Nursing clinical contracts and agreements.
• Answer and route calls, mail and e-mails; may disseminate information widely.
• Maintain Pre-Licensure Clinical Placement Box folder.
