Job summary

Georgia Gwinnett College is seeking a Clinical Placement Coordinator to facilitate nursing program placements, collaborating with the Department Chair and faculty to schedule clinical experiences and manage onboarding documents.

The role requires a 2-year degree in nursing or related allied health field with 2–3 years in clinical placement or credentialing; ACEMAPP experience is preferred; strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success. Salary range $38,300–$45,900.

Qualifications

• 2 Year/Associate degree in nursing or related allied health field.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience, such as experience in clinical placement and or clinical credentialing.
• Experience in lieu of education will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Communicate via email, phone and/or in person with nurse educators and/or placement liaisons of our clinical and internship partners to develop and maintain clinical placements.
• Coordinate with the Department Chair to determine the number of student placements needed each semester and type of experience needed.
• Utilize the ACEMAPP system as required by clinical partners and GGC.
• Attend clinical affiliation meetings, community professional meetings, placement coordinators and/or ACEMAPP meetings as appropriate.
• Communicate with students to ensure that credentialing requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Interact with clinical and community agencies to plan for and schedule student group clinical or individual preceptored rotations.
• In collaboration with the Department Chairs manage student clinical placement issues as appropriate.
• Additional duties as reasonably assigned
