Job summary

The Nursing Clinical Coordinator works with leadership to assure efficient patient flow and high-quality care across units, guiding staff and coordinating resources on a 15:00–07:00 schedule, Monday through Friday, including weekends and holidays.

They collaborate with the Nursing Director and charge nurses, promote staff development, and respond to emergencies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Facilitates patient flow and efficient/appropriate patient placements.
• Directs, supervises, evaluates and supports patient care activities.
• Serves as a resource to staff nurses and other department personnel on clinical practice and policy interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient flow and efficient/appropriate patient placements. Supports NaviCare communications and bed requests.
• Directs, supervises, evaluates and supports patient care activities.
• Serves as a resource to staff nurses on clinical practice and policy interpretation.
• Coordinates staffing of inpatient units and ED on a day-to-day basis, with responsibility for staffing from 1600–0700 hours, Mon–Fri, weekends and holidays.
• Responds to clinical emergencies on the HUP campus and promotes excellence in care.
