Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Unit Coordinator for the Orthopedic Unit. This full-time night shift (7:00pm–7:30am) includes 3/12 hr shifts with every third weekend and holiday rotation. You will provide patient care, assist with unit coordination, and support clerical duties on the Nursing Unit.

Responsibilities include bathing, meal assistance, vital signs, charting, and effective communication with the RN and care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).
• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• 0-1 years training/experience in an acute care facility or hospital clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients to preserve dignity and privacy.
• Bathes patients and assists with hygiene.
• Changes bed linens for occupied/unoccupied beds.
• Assists patients with meals and nourishment.
• Obtains vital signs and weights; records accurately.
• Welcomes patients and communicates with the care team.
• Reports patient/unit information to RN promptly.
