Job summary

Duke Health is hiring a Nursing Care Assistant I (CNA) for the 9200 Oncology unit, nights. This role supports direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision and requires compassionate bedside assistance, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Active Nursing Assistant I (NA I) certification in North Carolina.
• BCLS certification must be completed by end of new hire orientation.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift/move patients with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and equipment for procedures and provide manual assistance as required.
• Record patient data for medical records and inform RN/LPN of information collected.
• Administer basic care and comfort measures and support RN/LPN in patient care.
