Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Nursing Attendant for the Central Nursing Service on the night shift (37.5 hours). The role involves direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, maintaining a safe care environment, and supporting daily unit operations.

Responsibilities include assist with admissions, rounds for comfort and safety, basic hygiene, meals, simple treatments, and reporting changes to the RN.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required upon entry to the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Admission/Transfer/Discharge and orient patients.
• Perform rounds for comfort, safety, and needs; respond to call lights.
• Prepare bedside units, assist with meals, hygiene, and basic care.
• Assist with moving, positioning, and transport of patients as directed.
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities to the RN.
