Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Nursing Attendant for the Central Nursing Service on the night shift (37.5 hours). You will assist in implementing the nursing process, provide direct and indirect patient care, and help maintain an orderly, safe care environment under supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The role requires a high school diploma or CNA program completion, CPR certification, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant program or minimum 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification.
• English proficiency; additional language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission/transfer/discharge and orient patients.
• Conduct patient rounds for toileting, positioning, comfort, safety.
• Prepare bedside units and assist with meals.
• Record vitals and report abnormalities to RN.
• Assist with moving, lifting, and transporting patients; maintain a safe environment.
