Job summary

Good Samaritan is hiring a Nursing Assistant Trainee at Mandan Sunset in Mandan, ND. The program trains you to provide personal care under a licensed nurse supervision, with a hands-on learning approach and an online curriculum.

Upon completion, you will be prepared to take the state CNA knowledge and skills exams. The role is full-time with 8:00 am – 4:30 pm training shifts and a 40-hour work week, offering daily earnings access and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required within four months of employment.
• When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor. Vehicle report and proof of valid driver’s license.
• Must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Assistant Trainee provides personal care to clients under supervision.
• The trainee works with a preceptor to deliver holistic, client-centered care.
• The trainee completes a formal nursing assistant program and prepares for state exams to obtain CNA or other certification.
