Good Samaritan in Oakes, ND is seeking a Nursing Assistant Trainee as part of a learning program. Under licensed nurse supervision, you will provide holistic, client-centered care and work with a preceptor to fulfill training requirements.

The role emphasizes handling ADLs, documenting care, and coordinating with the care team to meet emotional, cognitive and physical needs of clients. Hybrid online and hands-on training is offered with location-specific standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16.
• CNA license required within four months of employment.
• For applicable states, registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person Registry (UAP).
• May be classified as Sanford Category II Driver depending on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Work with a preceptor to develop care skills in a hybrid training program.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, toileting, grooming and feeding.
• Document client care and communicate changes to the licensed nurse.
• Support basic health care needs and help with meals, housekeeping and other duties.
