Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring for the Nursing Assistant Registered Apprenticeship Program. The role includes admission/transfer/discharge support, patient room readiness, and helping with meals and daily living activities in a busy acute care unit.

Successful candidates will enter the Apprenticeship program, with on-the-job training and classroom curriculum. Completion within 6 months leads to CNA, Grade 8, with a pay range observed under the collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required within 2 weeks of hire.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow written and oral directions in English.
• Must be 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Admission/Transfer/Discharge functions and prepare patient rooms.
• Assist with daily living activities and provide personal nursing care.
• Respond to call bells and alert nursing staff to abnormal findings.
• Document care activities in the Electronic Medical Record.
